pretty cool. i am in this situation with my 360. i just get a little nervous thinking about having to take it apart, don’t wanna dqamage it in any way. but it’s worth a try. btw, how much does it cost to send it in to microsoft?
yeah it cost 100 bucks and missing a month or so of game play to do an hour fix that costs about 10 bucks
every time i turn on my xbox360 about twenty minutes later it does something to the tv and flashs 3 red lights

nah all 360′s have just the same chance as getting ‘the rings of death’. i’ve read a few elite 360′s having the same problem. and funnily i got my first ‘ring of death’ tonight while playin cod4. im 99% sure its the scaler chip cos when the av/hdmi cable is unplugged the red light is no more (E74 error code). I’m gonna research into it and try and fix it myself cos i’ll be damned if i have to pay microsoft for there hardware errors
Here is the ultimate working fix.
Open the 360, locate the CPU. Remove heatsink and smear the CPU with crunchy style peanut butter (skippy or sunpat work best). Leave off heatsink and switch on 360. Wait for smoke to really bake in the peanut butter. It should smell like burnt toast.Next,and most importantly, use some wire wool to clean up the CPU whilst the unit is on. Sparks are normal. When the CPU is clean reassemble and voila.
It is now time to buy a real console like a ps3 or wii.
yup new xbox 360 modles have a new chip which stops the red ring of death if only they fuckin did this in the first place lol i went for the ps3 anyway they never break
yellow lights on ps3 are comman, its just ps3 fanboys are too proud to put it up on youtube.
they say its true i got my elite from christmas and i play sometimes longer and nothing happens
hahhahaahah holy crap just as i went to take it apart to fix it i unplugged the usbs and said “OK baby ill give you one more chance, don’t let me down. come on green light come on” and what do you know its on and working wright now, so i think if you get it unplug the usbs that may be in it then start it up, i don’t believe it worked holy crap!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS3′s may never brake, but theys sound like a jet engine when theyre on, and they get so hot that you could cook eggs on them, the only real use for a ps3 is its blu-ray laser to go blind the sony ceo with it.
